Highly lauded EP3 type preamp pedal. Pristine condition. Ultra versatile in the signal chain (though best after dirt and before modulation effects). Placed before an analog delay pedal it really brings a vintage Echoplex tone to the signal. 1.25" H x 2.39" W x 4.41" L dimensions make this super pedalboard friendly. The pedal's immaculately wired (see "gut shot") and is a testament to the builders obsessive build quality./attention to detail. One of those effects that are subtle but immediately discernible in it's ability to provide clarity and definition to your tonal palette.  User info from the builder below;

Max level, only a few dB, for the stock early ‚òÄ and lateüåô settings is about 11:30 and unity is 10:00-10:30.
Don't disregard the boost mode üöÄ red warning indicator, there is a vast difference in gain between (early/late) and boost.
The red LED illuminates when boost mode is selected as a reminder to check the position of the level knob before engaging the effect.
Start at 6:00 with the level knob when using boost mode until you are familiar with the output level.

There are internal jumpers that can alter the tone of the "late" and "boost" settings.

The BLACK jumper for lateüåô is currently set to the dark position, that is the stock for the late EP3.
The BLACK jumper for boost mode üöÄ is currently set for bright.

The BLUE volume jumper is currently set to stock (2pins).
The volume knob originally controlled a mix between dry and echo.
The Badgerplex only contains the dry side so the signal start to bleed to ground past 12:00

Pulling the blue jumper, and putting it back on a single pin for storage, removes the echo half of the control.
This makes max rotation equal to max volume.

The internal slide switch activates the output buffer and is true bypass.
The buffer prevents the relatively high output impedance of the preamp from being dragged down by low impedance inputs.
You will generally have more treble with the buffer engaged.
Will not make much difference if the input impedance of the following effect is over 500K.

Gearmanndude video (below) is an earlier case version. Pedal's the same but with four additional tonal variations.
