It's a bird, it's a plane... no, it's way better than that! It's a Freakin' Danocaster! You probably already know everything about about Dan and his high quality builds, with his virtually unrivaled ability to create some of the most beautiful relic'd guitars on the market. Every Dano we've ever played has been top notch in looks, feel and sound. This is another very excellent guitar from good ole Dan the man!
This is a "Freakin" era Tele Dano, as displayed on the headstock.... which didn't last long as Fender was not a big fan of the very close resemblance of their trademarked "spaghetti" logo. No hang tag with this guitar that Dano's are so well known for, however we've examined it very closely and it's 99% original (see photo's for details). What's not original is the addition of an Electro Socket Jackplate. Pretty minor detail, in our humble opinion, as it's very hard to notice due to the placement, and it can also be considered an upgrade, so your input cable stays firmly in place without a loose, scratchy sounding connection, which is can be a problem (sometimes) with the relic'd original and worn jackplate.
Purchase comes with the old tried and true Danocaster gig bag. The body is ash, the neck is maple, the bridge pickup is a Dimarzio Hot T, the neck is Dimarzio Area T, the nut width is 1-11/16th's inches and the neck thickness is 15/16ths of an inch from the 1st to 12th , the build date is May of 2010, and the neck pocket has Dan's signature as he is well known for. The neck shape feels like a very comfortable full C... it has a full C shape without feeling bulky... it's a perfect fit in the hands for those who don't want a skinny and slim profile. When playing up and down the neck... the neck on this Danny feels very reminiscent of the legendary Fender 1950's shape.
