This one is made by Avian guitars which are designed by renowned US luthiers Michael Bashkin and Harry Fleishman, with every guitar hand built at Avian’s dedicated workshop by specially trained luthiers who have been expertly educated under the watchful eyes of Chief Designer Michael Bashkin and General Manager Abraham Wechter. Can you say bitchin' on Reverb? Okay then, this a this a bitchin' guitar, really cool, love the way she sounds and is really a lot of fun to play! The Falcon baritone seen here is designed to (and does wonderfully) carry and project a huge expansive bass and fat trebles while still comfortable to play, especially with the Ryan-style arm bevel. The Falcon is a true baritone with a 28" scale and .016 -.070" strings tuned to B, and offers the throaty low voice only achievable from a baritone!!
Made from a straight grained (tight) AAA Sitka spruce top and lovely Indian Rosewood back and sides, it's the all time classic pairing for an acoustic guitar build, and this beauty projects so wonderfully! This incredible baritone rivals some of the finest baritone guitars we've played and having been a shop here in San Diego for 15 years we've played quite a few great ones from some of the best luthiers out there, and we say that this Avian Falcon can stand on it's own against other builds which are fetching 2x the price.... This is a very nice high quality instrument to consider adding to your collection. She also has a B-Band preamp installed to really put the cherry on top of this guitar. It's always a nice luxury to have the option of plugging in when situation arises! Aptly named the "Crescent" the pickup fits the curvature of the sound hole and allows easy access to the volume, the XOM blend control, UST and AST input gain controls and phase button. The crescent 2 XOM (cross-over-mix) model allows you to mix of multiple inputs. It has two inputs for UST and AST pickups which you can blend to get your preferred amplified sound. The other feature included is a low battery / "flash" ON indicator LED, and it is also 9-volt battery powered, and is a non-invasive type install being adhered with the provided double sided tape, which also makes it a breeze to replace the battery, or perform maintenance.
