We have a very special guitar here... Thanks for looking, we really appreciate it!! Pelham Blue wasn't available until 1966... This Pelham Blue Melody Maker D walks a fine line, because it was built in late 1965... the pot codes and electronics date to late 1965, but the serial number on the back of the headstock dates to early 1966.
So what we are looking at here is a very rare example of 1965 body style being finished in 1966 with the very rare Pelham Blue custom color. She's all original, no breaks, no mods, no repairs and comes with the original Gibson chipboard carrying case( please note that the trem arm is missing). We mentioned that this guitar is light weight.... and weighs in on our scale at 5lbs 13oz! Really nice axe here, that not only looks good, she plays good, and sounds amazing. This MM will not disappoint it's next owner in any way, she's a very special guitar with a ton of vintage MoJo! It features a 1-9/16" nut width and has a nice/ comfortable Medium C shaped neck. We have taken the time to make a video demo of this guitar which is embedded in this listing! So if you might be interested in this guitar please give our video a watch and a listen so you can hear this awesome shredder for yourself. This guitar features solid Honduras Mahogany body and neck with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard making for and extraordinary pairing. We did scour the depths of the internet and could not find a similar guitar as the one we are offering that are still for sale... they've all been purchased, so we are quite pleased and honored to offer this wonderful guitar to our friends on Reverb, and wonderful local customers as well.
This axe is on display in front of our brick and mortar repair shop, and it's quickly gathering a lot of attention from our local patrons, and we cannot guarantee how long this listing might last as it might sell soon. Thanks for checking out this listing!! If you have any questions or inquires please don't hesitate to ask.
