If you have loose binding on your Martin guitar and it has come out of the channel, it's important to repair this before it gets worse. We fix this kind of damage all the time. Binding repair per waist section is $180 per waist location. There are 4 waist locations Top Bass, Top Treble, Back Bass, Back Treble. Solvent Based glue must be used to hold the binding in place. Sometimes the binding doesn't hold 100% and we have to go back and introduce more glue to the area that had an adhesion issue. The amount of finish touch up can vary on each waist section and could affect binding repair costs.

We often see the guitars that come in where a friend who was trying to be helpfull, after reading a blog or post on some forum, spilled super glue on the side or top of your guitar or used the wrong type of glue. These jobs can often times end up costing you more becasue it wasnt done prefessionally to begin with.

Cf Martin will not cover the cost of these repairs if the guitar has gone through over humidification or the guitar is showing signs that it has been dried out. We are a martin Certified Shop and have been for over 20 years.
